Currently the way custom fields are managed feels very dated and a bit clunky I know there are a few requests here that usually should be separate but for now ill create them as one.
The interface is clunky if deleting or reordering options within a specific custom field its very easy to make a mistake that causes unrecoverable data loss on existing tickets.
There is no way to archive one or two options in custom field selection and replace them with new options but keep the old for historical reference/reporting. now that an archive feature exits could this have potential for an enhancement.
There is no supported way to fully archive a specific custom field. There is no good way to preview what a completed set of options looks like unless you save the to create a dummy ticket.
No way to preview display order without saving going out of the screen and creating a dummy ticket.
