It would be great if WHD utilized WMI for Asset discovery. I was thinking that WMI could be used to simply pull info (ie computer name,IP address, installed software, etc) about the assets (desktops, servers). This method is used by other service desk solutions for gathering asset related info. This would eliminate the need for 3rd party tools, since WMI is native to the Windows OS.Granted agent based discovery would propbaly be required for other OSes
