Seperate authentication methods for clients and techs

Web Help Desk Version 12.5.2 - Build #12.5.2.84

Is it possible to use different authentication methods for client and tech accounts? Within the General -> Authentication settings we would like to use SAML2.0 auth for tech accounts whilst allowing client accounts to use "Web Help Desk" authentication. Obviously if we just enable SAML2.0 authentication when a client (who is external and doesn't have an account in our AD) browses to the WHD URL they are routed to the login page for our IdP and can't log in.

  • I've heard that different web servers can have different authentication methods, although I have yet to test this out.   That would mean if you purchase an Additional Web Server (AWS), which aren't very expensive, that you can set up different authentication methods on the different servers.
