Report filter to identify tech that closed the ticket

We need a filter to know, besides the Assigned tech when closing the ticket, the actual tech closing the ticket. Not all tickets are closed by the Assigned person.

  • The built in reporting options are woefully inadequate.  In my environment we over 100 techs, too many locations and dept. to count plus well over 500 custom fields that could be used as filters.  To get around limitations in the built in reporting, I have created SSRS reporting that generates from our DB, this lets me use every column in every table to build very detailed and specific reports when needed.

    If that all sounds like more than you want to get involved in, you could just use a tech required pop-out custom field called something like "resolved by" with all the techs listed as options that you can set as a filter in reporting options.
