Is there a way to format a hyperlink pointing at Web Help Desk in such a way that certain parameters on the ticket are pre-populated?

I'd like to create a hyperlink on my SharePoint site that directs users to web help desk with some context information.  Is there a way to format the link so that the request type, and possibly other fields are automagically filled in?
