External Asset Management Import

I'd like to know if it's possible to scan the bar codes on our hardware and create a file as a say csv or tab delimited text file and then import it into WHD. As I understand it WHD uses a postgresql database on the back end.

Has anyone ever done anything similar? Is there existing functionality already there? I know that SW was able to go into the db and fix my account when I screwed up AD integration for my account.

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to import inventory? You can do that just as you described. (Setup > Data Import > Import Assets) Are you trying to update fields in an inventory (like…

I think you have answered my question. I want to take an inventory created by an external source and import it into WHD. I missed that whole option. Thank you for the quick response.
