Monitor PRI trunk status

If you cannot get this by default my suggestion would be to configure a Universal Device Poller.  What is the device and model for those.  I could help you create a Poller to test and configure a resource.  VNQM also has monitoring for PRI utilizations so have you explored that in the VNQM admin guide.  Let me know if you want help with the UNDP

Check this compatability guide for VNQM 4.2 if that is the version you have.

we are not sure it would happen automatically, this is the first time we are setting up the Solarwinds VNQM for Voice monitoring.

As you said the PRI utilization is available with VNQM we have gone through that in demo site.

Following are the Avaya gateways we have and wanted to monitor the status of trunk connected to it.

Avaya S8800, G450, G700.

we have installed VNQM and added the Avaya call manager successfully but not the gateways.  can you please help us in setting up UnDP for monitoring the PRI trunk status linked to Avaya gateways.

Was this accomplished? I have 430 and 450 gateways and am looking for the OID in the haystack of MIBs  to try and obtain the PRI trunk status, utilization,etc.

here you have not labeled the UDNP poller with correct table name that's why the output of udnp poller are showing as number.

How to fix them:-

Right click on created poller and then click on the LABEL.

> one new wizard will open for you.

> where you will select the "use labels Form a table column" option.

it will ask you to select the "device", Please select the appropitate device where you can test the all UDNP poller table value.

>select the one of them value that would be appropiate for according to name of poller,

> Post selection you can click on Finish.

after then the value appearing as number will be refelect as a NAME, then you can create a alert.

The above is correct from krishna.mishra to get the labels correct.  The other thing to keep in mind is the type of return for the data field for status.  Is that an enumeration or a just value.  If it is an enumeration such as 1 is up 2 is warning etc.  You can change what the enumeration means if you want in the UNDP config.  If you could also upload the undp you created to this thread I might be able to help further if you have additional issues.

That part I know, I can change the labels. My question was related with how to identify which PRI is down and which is not. Values in the snapshot is not sufficient to tell me the status. Any idea about this? I am attaching the UDP also in case you want to take a look.

Can you provide a few things for me to help work on the status indication.  PRovide the undp file to this thread as well as the model of the device with the pri on it.  Thanks

it seems you have not a correct OID, which can present the status of the PRI,

1st try to find the correct OID then create a UDNP poller,
