10meg interface for IPSLA?

looking for an opinion.  I have come accross a bunch of 2611's which are of little or no use in my enviroment so I was thinking of deploying them as IPSLA routers.  However they all have 10 meg interfaces.  Any concerns with 10 meg for IPSLA?

  • Don't see why it would matter.

If your router can route any packet on 10 meg interfacesd, it should not matter whether some of these packets are actually generated by IP SLA operations .

By IP SLA router I think you mean using them as "shadow router", so you don't bother the actual routers routing payload data and I think it's an excellent practice.
