vSphere-Related Event Monitoring

Jump to solution

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me clarify if the following requirements can be met with VMAN, integrated alongside NPM.

Within vCenter there are a number of default alarms that can be triggered, from license inventory monitoring to things like there being no compatible host for a secondary VM in an HA scanario - https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.0/com.vmware.vsphere.monitoring.doc/GUID-82933270-1D72-4...

The question is simply around if these default alarms (of which there are over 60) can be alerted on with VMAN / Orion to change the affected Node status from Green to Amber or Red based on the condition.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

with VMAN 8.4, this is very possible. Virtualization Manager 8.4 is Now Generally Available
