Virtualization Manager & Hyper-V

Question

I am currently running a demo of VMAN in my VMWare environment and it works really well, provides great info and has great dashboards. With that being said, going forward our plan is to be moving more toward Hyper-V and Azure Stack. I noticed that while VMAN says that it also supports Hyper-V all of the dashboards that mention a hypervisor are focused on VMWare.

What level of information should I expect to get out of Hyper-V and are there any dashboards focused on Hyper-V or will the VMWare dashboards include data from Hyper-V?

Hello,

Firstly, all the dashboards having "VMware" in their names show also Hyper-V environment.

Secondly, as soon as you add new Hyper-V server(s), three new dashboards (Administrator Hyper-V, Cluster Host health Hyper-V and Manager Hyper-V) will appear. Those dashboards are designed to show Hyper-V data only. Please note not all widgets can be set to show Hyper-V content. "Top-N" widgets contain "... AND origin:Hyper-V" queries to filter VMware. "All Alerts" & "My Content" items can be filtered by "env_hyperv" tag.

You can adjust dashboards / widgets according to your needs.
