Virtual Machine Hardware Audit

Question

Hi All,

Is it possible to run a query that would list all Virutal Machines that do NOT have a VMXnet3 Network card or a paravirtual SCSI controller?

We have recently upgraded to Vsphere 4.1 and I want to make sure all admins have upgraded the hardware on their virtual machines.

Checking them manually is too time consuming with 130+ Virutal Machines.

You can try going to the query builder, if you type "nic" or similar it should give you the property below that you can search on, it should also tell you how many of each type you have. See screenshot below.
