Machine type different, "VMware ESX" and "VMware ESX Server"

Hi all,

how come I get "VMware ESX" and "VMware ESX Server" machine type, and one with domain name all others without. All ESXi versions are the same, all have been setup with FQDNs.

141 and 142 are on DELL Servers with base VMware image, all others are on Cisco UCS using Cisco custom image.

    Hi Dave,

Are you polling these all in the same way?

For instance what do you see when you click on Virtualization Settings

    Then on VMware Settings

Is the polling method set here to VMAN Orion?

on the Manage Nodes page are they set to ICMP?
