Administration dashboard resets

Hi Tom,

This is a known issue with the upgrade (should not occur on fresh install)  - the system is duplicating some widgets when the upgrade logic is applied when you restart the VM.  We'll look to fix this in a future update.  The behavior should be largely benign and you should be able to delete the excess widgets.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jon. I can delete the widgets, but they come back when I open a new Hyper9 session. Is there a way to make them go away permanently?

Are you logged in as an admin when you delete them?  The other thing you could try is to delete the dashboard from the content section, and restore the defaults.

Looks like deleting the administrator dashboard and restoring from to defaults did the trick.

I thought that deleting the Administrator dashboard and recreating had done the issue, but then I logged out and back in, and the issue is back. Multiple instances of certain widgets are created, and widgets which I had deleted come back, sometimes more than once. While not a show-stopper, this issue is definitely annoying, especially since we rely on this view for a snapshot of the health status of our environment. I've tried creating a custom version of the dashboard, so we'll see if that works.

The workaround of exporting the Administrator dashboard and reimporting it under a different name did work--the widgets do not get duplicated.
