Integrate UDT port discovery to NPM Sonar discovery or NPM Single Add Node

I am NPM, NCM, UDT user.

It was great when finally I dont need to add new node separately to NPM and NCM anymore.

It will be great to have the same thing with UDT.

I also use NPM Sonar Discovery to track change in my network,

it will be great if UDT registration port also integrated in NPM Sonar Discovery process.

  • NCM already discovers the 'ports' in its inventory collection of interfaces on a node -- why not just have the ability to define rules that automatically import those into UDT and NPM as monitored ports (for UDT) and monitored interfaces (for NPM)

  • After spend sometime with UDT, I realize the main factor why it cant happen now

    UDT use PortID instead of OrionCore/NPM InterfaceID although using the same NodeID.

    I think this is why I they need separate discovery process and cant have UDT Port Detail resource in my Interface Detail page.


    This will be great breakthrough for UDT if can happen.
