Why am I so bad at searching the knowledge base!   Like I am in a room with a bunch of doorknobs and no thumbs to speak of.

That being said, I would be curious to know what switchValue=activityTracing AND propagateActivity=true does.  If anyone knows.

(note. .Net has the same features and they look very similar to me: Tracing)

switchValue sets the logging level(s)

propogateActivity includes an activityID in the message header so log messages about the same activity can be correlated.

So can I assume you made this change in your environment?  And if so what if any negative impact or change in the data did you see?  Logging level and correlation makes me think there must be some sort of negative impact to this change.

Yes, on all five polling servers.

It made no (negative) difference to the system: this is about logging rather than actual work being acheived.

It stopped filling my disks :-)
