A SAM monitoring script send data back to SolarWinds NPM/SAM via text that's output to the stdout and parsed. This seems like a very limited and legacy approach and error prone. I come from the MS SCOM world where the presence of the agent on the node presents a COM object (Property Bag) where you cans tore output.
It would be a game changer for SAM to provide this framework. The limitation of 10 output pairs seems crazy in 2020 and also the fact that its doing text parsing.
