Is increase retention setting change Solarwinds Performans?

Yes.

The more data you have in the database the more load it puts on the SQL server.  It is writing more in with the increased polling frequencies and it is pulling more out to populate the charts at that level of detail, then the app/web server has top process more data to get the charts to render on the screen. 

Make sure your SQL server is set up according to the best practices specs and that you have fast disks in raid 10.

Are your webserver, poller and SQL server located on the same machine?

I have changed the hourly, daily retention period and yes its affecting the performance, Scheduled reports are not working as expected, mostly the email comes blank. I raised a case with support and they have advise to reduce the retention period.

My SQL server is additional SQL server and stored another server. There are not located same machine.

Yes, the more frequently you poll and the longer you keep the data the more performance will suffer. That said a properly built out system can still perform very well while giving you all the information that you need. That's one of the beautiful features of the platform it can grow very very large and still perform well. The key is to project what you will need "down the road" and build towards that. If you build a minimum system and then expand it will suffer.
