Hi, I'm very new to SW and I'm having trouble creating what should be a simple report.
I have an active alert setup and want to create a report to run and produce the alert history for that alert on a weekly basis.
There is a data source called 'Alert History' but when trying to create the conditions, there is nothing there for Alert Name or Node name, or anything like that.
Does anyone know of a simple way to achieve this through the report manager GUI?
I can't begin to guess what was going through the head of the person who made that section of the GUI report builder, but you are correct there is no option to filter against the alert name, despite having almost every other column of that database table available.
So the quickest fix is probably to find out what the alertid is for the alert in question, you could launch the database manager and just run this
Select alertid, name from alertconfigurations where name like 'YOUR ALERT NAME'
Then you can filter your report to just the ones with that alertid
