Issues with an EHR vendor's software causing issues at the SQL level. Profiler wasn't able to always be run in time, needed records for stuff that happened an hour ago as staff wasn't notifying us as it happened.
5. Did you consider options other than SolarWinds? Who?
A couple. RedGate and SQL Sentry among others.
6. How are you using the product and what benefits have you seen?
The information from DPA has been valuable in tracking issues that happen and what is happening in the system, being able to take screenshots of the performance as it happens and forwarding it on to our EHR vendor. This has let us push our vendor more and get some fixes faster and improve performance of the application in our clinics.
