would like to see a "provisioning mode" created to allow pre-configuring/ pre-addition of devices before they go live. currently can not added a snmp managed device unless it reachable... this way a device that being added during a night-time release window could be entered into orion the day before.. when it goes live at 2am no intervention/minimal intervention would be required and could be done by the team doing the installation... Activating could be done several ways.. automatically by coming out of a slow poll condition after X consecutive polls, on a given condition returning a pre-determined value, or worst case manually moving the device from provisioning to Active
