Something bad happened.

When I add a password to my credentials for a session, it will connect maybe once (if I'm lucky).

Then afterwards, I get an error page "Something bad happened." with a blue button to Reconnect.

If I remove the password from the credentials, it works every single time. Except I have to type the password in (of course).

Re-add the password, and get the same issue.

Password is 24 characters long, only alpha-numeric characters (no special chars).

Any ideas?

  • I set SolarPutty, Putty and some other related apps to run as Administrator. It seems to work better, but still fails quite often.

If I get rid of the password in the credentials, it works fine every time. So definitely something to do with the password and only on this one connection which happens to connect to CloudLinux (OpenSSH_7.4p1).

  • New version of Solar-PuTTY with a lot of bug fixes was released last week, try it please and let us know.

    Thanks,
