File server monitoring

We just require monitoring on files servers that whats happening on the shares. Finding out what files or folders have been deleted from a file share and who deleted them etc.

Identifying the users who have accessed a specific file or file share.

This will be much useful if you develop such feature in solarwinds.

It would be great if sw could include a data owner database so you can track your file or dfs server and see who owns what

Log & Event Manager includes File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) out of the box, which provides the ability to monitor files and folders for read, write, deletions and permission changes. You can view more information on FIM here. This video provides an overview on how to configure and analyze FIM data.
