We have many databases using availability groups and the passive databases are not accessible for queries. This results in more then half of our databases and applications reporting an unknown state because it is active on another node. We would like AppInsight for SQL to query for the availability group status and automatically unmanage the databases that are passive. When the database fails over we would like AppInsight to automatically manage the database. Another option would be to have a different status for passive databases that rollup into a good state instead of an unknown state.
