Not everyone uses standard username/password credentials to authenticate to their Linux/Unix hosts, and even some compliance regulations require the use of client certificates for severs storing sensitive information. As such, SAM should support client certificate authentications as a valid alternative form of authentication to traditional user names and passwords for Linux/Unix and Nagios script component monitor types.
