I just installed ServU MFT trial software. I ran thru the basic initial setup. I'm in my domain and am trying to configure Windows Authentication. When i click "configure Windows User Group" a message pops up saying "Please select or create a domain by selecting the "Manage Domain" button". that message doe snot make sense to me. A) there is no such button anywhere and B) I'm in the domain so how can I not have one created. Solarwinds tech support will not assist me since this is only a trial. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, I'll try LDAP...but I shouldn't have to. Unless you are asking me too for troubleshooting purposes?? Without even knowing this software, I feel LDAP won't give me as much as AD authentication will.
Found this when I ran into the same problem, hopefully my solution helps. We tested on both 2012R2 and 2019, only had the problem on 2019. I suspect it's an IE configuration issue.
I created a local user with global admin permissions, logged into the web client from my workstation with that user, and configured LDAP from there.
