Latest Serv-U Hotfix breaks WinSCP file uploads over SFTP (No such file)

We have installed your latest hotfix (15.1 HOTFIX 2 & 3) on our servers and now no one can upload files via SFTP using WinSCP (any version). You are presented with an error "No such file" when you attempt upload via SFTP (port 22). It is possible to overwrite existing files but not upload any new ones.

FTPS is fine, SFTP is broken and only through WinSCP. Enabling extra SFTP logging for showed it not working for WinSCP and working fine for FileZilla. I have attached the two logs.

This all worked in the previous versions of Serv-U and we have had customers report this as well as testing internally.

Urgent fix required as ALL uploads are broken and WinSCP is a very popular SFTP client.

Anyone else having the same issue?

I have further information. We have performed a clean install of Serv-U on a VM and checked each version/hotfix..
Serv-U 15.1.6.25 no hotfix - WinSCP can upload OK
Serv-U 15.1.6.31 hotfix 1 - WinSCP can upload OK
Serv-U 15.1.6.80 hotfix 2 - WinSCP CANNOT UPLOAD - ERROR no such file
Serv-U 15.1.6.84 hotfix 3 - WinSCP CANNOT UPLOAD - ERROR no such file

I have not heard his report from other users or coming into support, but we will dig into it regardless. If you haven't already, please open a support ticket.

We have narrowed this down for you and it appears to be a bug where any file LESS than 101KB will not upload.
A 100KB file will not upload (no such file error), a 101KB file will upload successfully.
Please confirm you get the same results in your lab. bshopp
This has been raised with support but needs escalating for an urgent fix as WinSCP is often used for automation (nearly always 100KB files such as CSVs).

We saw similar behavior and the team is currently working on what we believe would address the issue and will be able to push the fix to you via your support case once it is ready and we will also look to publish formally for all right after that and we confirm the issue is fixed.

I just updated my Serv-U this weekend and my users are reporting the same thing. I downloaded the latest WinSCP client and found the same issue.
If a file already exists out there, it will upload it, but it will not upload a new file using the WinSCP client.
Please assist, this is a Production process that has to be fixed quickly. bshopp

We have a buddy drop which we believe addresses this issue. If you log a case with support, they should be able to give you a download to it.

Also here is a workaround, which to be clear, is separate from the buddy drop which you could look to leverage also.
As a workaround, to unblock using WinSCP, set the Maximum supported SFTP version with 4 or 3 (Domain->Limits & Settings->tab Limits->limit type Advanced)
