Closing as this relates to Storage Manager (STM) which has gone EOL and is no longer supported or developed.

Consistent report configurations

I would like to see consistency in how reports are built and what is contained in them. We use Storage Manager to monitor our NetApp, virtual and windows environments.

It is our opinion that Enterprise reports should include the enterprise. Often the reports only include Windows machines or VMs. As an example:

Status reports for Enterprise:

System Current Up Time:      This report inculdes VMs and host with agents installed.

System Current Downtime:      This report only includes hosts with agents installed no VMs.

System Up-Down Time Summary by Group: No VMs in this report.

System Up-Down Time by Host: No VMs in this report.

System Up-Down Time by OS: No VMs in this report.

The System Up-Down Time Summaries are important to our department but the Enterprise reports to not include all of our enterprise. The summaries are not available under any of

the VMWare reports categories. Enterprise reports should cover the Enterprise.

As a secondary note. Why do the Virtualization device groups include physical devices yet the device groups under server and NAS not inculde VMs?
