SMI-S Provider for Dell PowerVault MDXX

Is someone able to help me adding Dell PowerVault MD3200, MD3220i and MD3400 to SRM? We had to update the RAID controller firmware on our MD3400s to v08.35 and now the Dell SMI-S provider won't add the MD3400 arrays to the CimServer using the command line. It fails with an AddArray exception code 4.

The CimServer I have installed is from a file called DELL_Array-WS32-10.32.0G06.0002.zip.

On experimentation, I have been able to get everything working using the latest NetApp E-Series SMI-S provider from this page. You might notice on this page for the latest version of the provider it says:

Release 10.34.0G00.0008 is an SMI-S 1.6.1 Provider update release.

The highest firmware level supported for this release is 8.25.

The problem with this is that it is based around NetApp Santricity. The external array name is /root/netapp/santricity. You need to select NetApp E-Series when adding the array to SRM even though it is a Dell PowerVault and it gets listed as a NetApp device by SRM too. Frankly, I am amazed it works at all, but it does...

So I guess my question is where is the Dell equivalent SMI-S provider that used 10.34 and SMI-S 1.6.1?

I have been unable to find anything on the Dell site or the web in general.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

we have dell powervault md3620i + 3660i but cant get them into SRM the instuctions are not very clear and go off talking about multiple vendor installs SRM: Enable a Dell PowerVault, IBM DS3xxx, DS4xxx…

Can nobody help with this? Surely someone else is monitoring Dell MD3400s using SMI-S? What provider are you using and what version is the RAID controller firmware on the hardware?

Do i need an additional box to install the smi-s provider as it looks like they use there indiviual pc's to access it.
Tried to install on the SRM server but uses the same port as the emc one we have.. so annoying

Not sure if this is still an ongoing issue, but the version of SMI-S I use with our PowerVault MD3200i is NetApp_Array-WS32-10.32.0G00.0002.
I was able to add the storage arrays in, but its not giving me performance data nor LUN data.
I came across your post while looking for answers to my issue above.
Let me know if you would like me to send you the SMI-S version we are using to see if it makes a difference for you.

We also have Dell PowerVault 3620i SAN, and need to monitor it using SRM.
This support page says that I need to add an SMI-S provider:

Dell/EMC seems to have very little on their web site about SMI-S provider configuration.
I found this reference about setting up SMI-S provider on server for storage arrays:

So I tried installing se762102-Linux-x86_64-SMI.rpm on a RHEL6 test VM to see what it does, and got a ECOM Administration Web Server login. By running /opt/emc/ECIM/ECOM/bin/TestSmiProvider, I got the login set up. But once I logged in, there did not seem to be any menu options for setting up SMI-S. So perhaps it's not seeing the storage arrays.
