Isilon Cluster monitoring without SRM license, what are the options?

I have a pair of Gen6 Isilon clusters. Each is 6 nodes. I previously monitored our Gen4's as individual nodes and used unique ID's for the node names and load balance ip's. These new Gen6 seem to give me limited information on the individual nodes. Random node will give me an accurate CPU, while another node will show pegged at 100% when it's actually not and some nodes show nothing as all as if it was ping based as opposed to SNMP.. All SNMP tests come back good and they are all configured with the same params and groups.. Everyones solution at Dell or SW is to pay for SRM license. Is that really the only way? I just want to know the utilization and availability of my individual nodes?
