LEM 6.4 is now Generally Available!

I am pleased to announce general availability of LEM 6.4 which marks our first step away from Flash. Although it will be a long road to get completely away from Flash, the LEM Events Console is a significant milestone. If you are a customer on active maintenance, this is now available in your customer portal. If you are not an existing customer and interested in downloading a 30-day evaluation, you can do so here. This release includes the following features:

  • LEM Events Console - our brand new HTML5 interface which includes powerful log management features such as Real-Time Event Streaming, Filtering and Historical Search. The Events Console can be accessed via the link on the top right of your LEM console.

  • Increased Storage Limit: Removal of a 2TB storage limitation to ensure you can now store as much log data as you need. Please note that a new installation is required to avail of the extended storage functionality. For existing customers that wish to avail of extended storage you can deploy a fresh LEM appliance and migrate your existing settings/data.
  • Debian Upgrade: significant upgrade to LEM's underlying Operating System to ensure that the LEM appliance is as performant and secure as possible.
  • Improved SMB Support: leverage SMB2 and SMB2 network shares for backup/archive of log data and software upgrades.

For more information on this release, please see the LEM 6.4 Release Notes.

  • Glad to hear your upgrade went well and you're enjoying the new interface! I understand the frustration that it is separate from the rest of LEM, however we are working on additional functionality within the new HTML5 console to reduce the dependency on the older LEM console.
