LEM Node Is Connected, But Not Reporting in nDepth

I have installed an agent on an SFTP server that I need to monitor logs for, and it has a green connection and everything seems to be working fine, but I am not getting any alerts on that IP address in nDepth except for the initial internaltooloffline and internaltoolonline alerts.

I read that this might be a config issue. Can somebody please walk me through what possible workarounds are available to fix this issue?

Thank you!

If the SFTP server is a Windows based server you should see the System, Application and Security logs by default.

If it's a Linux based server, you will need to be sure you've configured connectors to read the logs:

You can try resetting the agent or removing and reinstalling the agent.

  1. On the affected host, stop the LEM Agent Service.
  2. Go to the Agent install directory (C:\Windows\System32\ContegoSPOP or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ContegoSPOP) and delete the spop folder
  3. Start the service.  That should put the Agent back in a "first-run" state.

If resetting the agent does not work, you can try uninstalling the agent and make certain the uninstall removed the agent files.

  1. Copying the agent installer locally to the host
  2. Run the installation as administrator

Good luck,

Corrected a path and added the check for files after uninstall.
