How to import Windows events logs into LEM

Hi,

We have two Windows 2003 domain controllers that are remotedly hosted; however, they are part of our local AD. That is, we have two remote DCs and two local DCs all administrating a single AD domain. Because of restrictions at the remote site, we can not install the LEM agent on the two remote servers. What I would like to do is once per day export the event logs from these two remote servers using Event Viewer, then copy the exported files over to one of my local servers that has the LEM agent installed on it. Then from that server, import each log into LEM. I unable to find any instructions on how to do these in the user guide for 5.7. Has anyone done this?

What about event log consolidator? Then set up your connector on that specific machine that has consolidator installed.

Unfortunatedly, Event Log Consolidator is not workable in this circumstance.

You can't currently point a LEM connector to a flat file. I would think attempting to do this with a saved .evtx would fall under the same category. There is a feature request to add this however.
