Windows Scheduled Task Options

The addition of the Windows Scheduled Tasks monitor was a great addition IMHO.  However,  It lacks the ability to choose which scheduled tasks to monitor.  I would like to see an update to this monitor that would allow for the selection of which scheduled tasks to monitor and which scheduled tasks not to monitor.  A good example of whet does not need to be monitored is on Server 2012R2.  There is a scheduled task named "Optimize Start Menu Cache Files" that is automatically created.  I don't need to monitor this scheduled task so I should be able to deselect it.

  • I completely agree.  I would love to be able to ignore those  "Optimize Start Menu Cache Files" scheduled tasks and potentially any other task that I'm not interested in getting alerted on.

It seems like aLTeReGo's suggestion would work, as there are tasks in the Microsoft Folder under the Task Scheduler Library that SolarWinds doesn't see.  The problem is that you don't appear to be able to drag and drop.  Looks like you need to export and import the job and who knows if that automatically created task will work after that.  For manually created jobs you don't care about, this method would probably work as you'd understand how the task works.

I would like to see the ability to filter out scheduled tasks I don't care about.
