Based on this knowledge base article (Script monitor does not provide statistic value if the script exit code is 1 - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Suppo… ) SAM 6.5.0 or earlier does not provide statistic data for script monitors when they are down.
As the state down is the only way in SolarWinds to show an outage of an application in the availability reporting of SolarWinds, we need the ability to provide statistic data during an outage (E.g., the time to download a web page). We cannot use the state critical as this state will be shown as OK/UP in the availability reporting of SolarWinds.
