I have an idea to ease the creation of custom applications. Develop a wizard that would perform the following actions:
1. Click "Create Custom Application Template" button.
2. Wizard launches and asks user "Which component type(s) would you like to monitor in your custom application?"
3. User is able to select services, process, events, HTTPS monitors, other components, etc...
4. Wizard then asks to "Please select a node to be used as a point of reference for the custom application template. "
5. Wizard then takes input from step 3 and launches the applicable program individually (I.e. the Real-Time Process Explorer, Service Control Manager, Real-Time Event Log Viewer, etc.) from the requested node specified in step 4.
6. User is then able to select multiple services, processes, etc from a live view of what is running on the applicable system.
Or something along those lines...
