AppInsight for Hyper-V 2012 R2

Hyper-V 2012 R2 has come with some great enhancements to allow for better clustered hosts and replicating VMs from one host to another.

However the Monitoring ability of these function are lacking. We have basic information on the VM but nothing from the host perspective.

I have setup a few Hyper-V replicas and having the ability to monitor the replication status between two hosts or if the hosts are communicating correctly in a cluster is critical.

Hyper-V also has the ability to run hard disks off of SAN FCoE or iSCSI. The ability to monitor this is something else that is critical if your VMs hard disk are these different types of connections to a different device. Having the ability to monitor these connections and utilizations is important to ensure the VMs stay up and operating.
