AppInsight for Active Directory

AppInsight for Active Directory

In the Same vein as AppInsight for SQL, Exchange, and IIS, AppInsight for Active Directory should provide a simplified turn-key user experience for monitoring key aspects of Active Directories performance and availability as well as other common pain points associated with AD such as replication issues, orphaned user/computer accounts, visibility into accounts where passwords have expired, etc.

This is a great idea and would be a awesome addition to SAM's monitoring capabilities.

And easy way to monitor replication success would be welcome.

Agreed.  I would like to see this.

Though I have a question - will this be granular or, like the other AppInsight templates, be a block of take-it-or-leave-it chunk of 50 licenses spent but there may only be 4 or 5 things you are interested in monitoring?

I understand your desire to push license purchases, but I don't see where lack of ala-carte benefits me?

(For what it's worth, the same tactic is why I don't buy cable TV)

could it include a ad account kerberos ticket size view

Guess I'll add the question here because I haven't got anything back from the other post I asked this on, but what is going on with AppInsight for Active Directory?  It was on the Roadmap for SAM and it was looking like it was coming out very soon not that long ago, but now it's no longer on the Roadmap and I haven't seen any updates about it.  I was really looking forward to this and was hoping it was going to be included in SAM 6.3.

Monday Bump.  Where oh where did AppInsight for Active Directory Go?  Where oh where did it go?

Would you please include locked out accounts if possible. Being able to see which account has been locked and where would be awesome - we usually get this data in windows log (security event 4740)

Yes, an Appinsight for Active Directory would be very useful.
