We need to be able to store string values vs just numeric values from API responses for use in dashboards. For example, we may monitor one string value representing service health and assign it a string transform for a metric, but then we also need another string value that represents the service health status display name (for descriptive text for dashboard users).
This is only one of many examples that come to mind of when storage of a string value (e.g. like PowerShell monitor StringData works) would be useful.
