Our DBAs have identified some datbase blocking coming from the following stored procedure during nightly maintenance:
netperfmon.dbo.apm_dbm_APM_ApplicationStatus_DeleteStale
The DBAs found that the SP was doing a bunch of deletes in a view, and wondered if this should not instead be done against the tables contained in the view directly as a potential way for optimizing this SP or if an index needed adding.
Support recommended I post this here for review by Development and Project Managers.
