ssh+ppk discovery

Hello,

Newb here. Just finished installing NPM & SAM.

Question about Discovery.

We have lots of Linux machines but we're not using SAMBA or any other common user authentication database.

We do however use PPK's with certain root level accounts.

Is there a way to configure a discovery to use one of these accounts? I couldn't find a way to install the PPK

or associate it with credentials in Discovery Central.

SAM does support PPK authentication. The following sections of the AG should get you pointed in the right direction, though you may find manual assignment of application templates to nodes works better with certificate based authentication.

Thank ego.
Now I'm seeing this:
The Credential Name already exists.The private key is not formatted correctly or it is encrypted and the password is either wrong or missing. It is also possible that an error occurred during import.
We created the key using OpenSSH. Is there a part of the guide that shows how/what options to
use when creating the key so SAM likes it?

The certificate must be imported into SAM in PEM format. SAM does not support importing of DER or PKCS formatted certificates. You will need to convert the certificate to PEM format before importing it into SAM.
