Hi,
I'm randomly getting alerts that the Windows Update service is down on many servers at once, but not all of them. When I check on the servers, the Windows Updates service is running.
The component status details says: "The service is stopped or disabled or is not installed on the target machine."
When I look on a server, the service is up and running:
get-service "windows update"
Status Name DisplayName
------ ---- -----------
Running wuauserv windows update
After a period between several minutes or several hours, the monitors go back to Up, without any action taken from my side.
Do you have any advice on how to troubleshoot this issue? The servers are using agents.
