We Include "Received String" in Alert generated by a HTTPS Monitor

We have a HTTPS Monitor where SolarWinds expects a specific string in response to a GET to a URL.

An alert condition is triggered if the received string does not match the pre-configured one.

The string happens to contain information on which specific component of the website has errors, and which ones are in normal state. We would like to include the entire received string in the alert message.

Any suggestions on how we could?

NikDha The only solution that comes to my mind is to have PowerShell script to handle that. API Poller might be a good alternative, but there is no option to send given string to alerts. You might want…

Appreciate your suggestion and will look into it. Also added my kudos to API POLLER STORAGE OF STRING VALUES VS JUST NUMERIC VALUES

It does seem like a half baked monitor, where it detects a failure but does not provide the ability to include what exactly the failure was, in an alert triggered by the monitor!
