Storage Volume Monitoring using SAM 6.7.1

Hi Everyone,

I am New to THWACK !!!

After going through the SAM Admin guide, I am bit confused of the possibility of Custom monitoring with Storage Volumes. Has somebody tried any of the below ?? or is the below ONLY possible if SRM is integrated ??

1. Configuring HUSAlerts [ Monitring Hitachi HUS Alerts ]

2. Monitor Isilon Cluster Health

3. Monitor key metrics on Netapp Storage systems

4. Monitor hardware attached to PERC raid controller

5. Report on replication status of various filesystems

6. Alert on snapshots not being created

Smells like a NPM/SRM combo.

technically you could basically roll you own version of all the other modules using SAM, but you'd be custom scripting lots of it, so much so that by the end you would basically have been able to write your own tool from scratch.
Yes those are all possible, some are easy, some are not so easy.
