We have 5 Domain Controllers total in our environment and all but one are able to pull performance counter data for the Active Directory 2008 R2 - 2012 monitor for all but one server. The one server is able to get the service information but when it comes to pulling the counter data we are getting the following error:
Performance counter not found. HResult: The specified object is not found on the system.
I tried resync the counter values as described here:
But that didn't seem to fix it.
However when I open Perfmon on the server those "missing" counters are available and I can see data so not sure why SAM is not able to pull in that data.
Running SAM v6.2.4
Anyone seen this before?

Thanks for the info. Ended figure out that the problem was with the template and not my node. The template for these counters was using category NTDS and for some reason this server doesn't have that category. I overrode the template for this one server to use DirectoryServices instead and that fixed the problem. A more detailed explanation can be found here https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/208657?tstart=0#208657 for those that run into this.
Thanks
A couple things you might check... Those templates get the performance data via WMI.
Have you tried the first couple tests in this doc to verify WMI is working properly on that node?

Also, and this one is a shot in the dark but... Check the polling platform for that individual server
to be sure it is appropriate x86 vs x64
