ORION Agent on windows 7 32-bit - Failed: WinHttpSendRequest: 12030

Can you try the following steps?

1) Go to agent machine with the reported problem and open Internet Explorer

2) Type https://PollerIP:17778/ only. Please avoid using the hostname and use the IP of the polling engine the Agent is managed by

3) If everything works as expected, you should get the message "connection is not secure".

I tried and it worked as you said.

I got "There is a problem with this website's security certificate"

Also I forgot to mention that I can do a successful Telnet connection to the polling engine server over 17778

Does the same Agent work when running in Passive 'Server initiated' mode?

We had a similiar issue, telnet response OK, TLS required error.

It turns out that or network team, despite swearing that they did so, did not open 17778 BIDIRECTIONALLY. When the admin who was attemping to install the agent demanded to see the traffic logs, they realized that they had not opened the ports inbound to the servers from the polling engine.

Sorry for the delay in replying. It turns out that the ciphers where not matching and so the TLS 1.2 handshake was not happening. Once I got the correct ciphers on the Windows 7 devices the communication worked and agent (Active mode) started working.
