Monitoring Progress Database through SAM

Hi All,

I need to monitor Progress database using Solarwinds Server & Application Monitor I didnt find a outofbox application for progress DB. Please could anyone suggest how do I achive this?

Any thoughts/help is appriciated.

PS . i am newbie in Solarwinds world.

Which of the Progress products at the URL below are you currently running?

Also, what tools are you using to monitor this database today and what metrics are you specifically looking to measure? Lastly, what operating system are you running this database server on?
SAM doesn't currently have an official Progress application template, but if you can provide the information requested above I will log this as a feature request. You can also create your own application template for monitoring this application using the ODBC component monitor if there's a Windows ODBC driver for Progress.

Hi,
We do not have any monitoring in place currently for Progress DB.
Progress DB : OpenEdge 10.1c
OS – Linux & HPUX
Please could you let me know where I can download ODBC? And if I have a ODBC what are the next steps for configuring application monitors.

From what I've been able to determine the OpenEdge Windows ODBC drivers can be downloaded only by Progress customers who have access to their online Electronic Software Download (ESD).
