Monitor multiple SQL instances on 1 server

I downloaded the latest SQL 2005/2008 templates (.zip file) and imported them into APM. I have one of the templates applied to a SQL 2008 server. This server has 2 instances running on it. Does this template just monitor the default instance or can it monitor multiple instances on the same server?

My SQL server (VM) has 16GB of RAM allocated to it. I have configured each instance to use a max of 6GB/instance. In APM, I see the Memory Manager: Total Server Memory (KB) statistic says 6144000 so it looks like it is only seeing the default instance

The templates are designed to monitor the default instance...you will need to modify them to monitor the named instances.

mdriskell is correct. The default template has no instance defined so it will monitor the default instance only. You will need to apply the template to the same node multiple times for each instance you wish to monitor defining the instance name in each component monitor within in the template.
