Is it ok to migrate Solarwinds SAM(6.6) & WPM(2.2.1) server to Azure without upgrade?
We are moving from on prem VM to Azure VM .
Please suggest path for migration.

From what i understand, it always a suggested approach to upgrade to the latest version and then migrate it, but there are no hard and fast rules about that, it doesn't say in any guide that you cannot migrate without up-gradation if I am not wrong.
Go through all migration documents, list down everything with respect to your existing modules, as in what needs to be backed up etc and then migrate accordingly.
Migration is a huge topic in itself, hence make sure what configuration needs to be copied, what configuration is not copied over like settings etc, ensure about hostname, ip (are you retaining the hostname, are you retaining the IP of your Orion application) etc make sure you have all details in place before you migrate.
