Hi Guys,
I'm just wondering what are the ways Solarwinds manages to monitor running applications in Linux/Unix Environment? If we poll the Linux node via snmp, we can see the running processes in the Linux box by going to the real time process explorer.
If we add the application or process in the monitoring, how do solarwinds know its the same application? is it by PID, name or path of the file? Your comments will be very much appreciated, Thank you.
