Hardware Health Monitoring Issue 2018

Did you try checking with 'List Resources' option and see if the hardware health sensor checkbox is selected?

Sure I check it many time.

I have other question :

Is there any port for opening  in firewall to poll hardware health info between vcenter and Solarwinds poller?

port 443 should be open... Solarwinds collects the data from Vcenter via API so this port you can get it checked once...

if 443 not open even solarwinds dont connect to vcenter .

I mean other port if needed.

I just remembered, u need port 5989 as well.

I also open 5989-5988 when I add vcenter to solarwinds but I am sure 5989 just need open between esxi hosts and vcenter.

But for sure I open this port between esxi host and solarwinds poller.

for Info my esxi host poll through vcenter in solarwinds.

I think my issue related to Virtualizatin manager module and NPM and SAM modules version or integrity.

the reason i mentioned for List resources was incase u have also enabled SNMP..

Maybe u can get support review your scenario...

it's not a conflict for enabling SNMP too.

Cause I have same config in 2 other site that work very well

okay.. actually i had faced similar issues for some IBM boxes few years back... but dont quite remember what resolved the issue...

I have HP and also IBM servers in my vcenter. non of them has hardware health info.
